There are several methods of sending your freight to BITEC, the venue for RoboCup 2022 Thailand. For your convenience, the organizer has appointed an official freight forwarder, APT Showfreight (Thailand), who will be able to answer any questions you may have about shipping in or hand-carrying in your robots and/or other equipment. Please refer to ‘Freight' under “Participants” section on event's web.

Travelers from some countries do not require visa while some do or some need to apply visa on arrival. Please refer to ‘Visa Information' under “Participants” section on event's web for more detail. Once your registration as a participant is confirmed, the organizer will issue you an invitation letter for you to apply for visa. Please contact the Royal Thai Embassy or Thai Consulate in your city for the required document and visa process.

We recommend you to stay in a hotel easy access to skytrain (BTS). Skytrain is the best for traveling to BITEC, RoboCup 2022 venue. It takes 5-minute walk from BTS Bangna Station (E13) to BITEC through a connecting skywalk bridge.

Onsite registration is opened for participants on 11 July (15.00-20.00) and 12 July (08.00-20.00) at EH98 located on ground floor of BITEC. Registration Counter t is located right in front of EH98 where you'll see a clear sign upon arrival. If you arrive BITEC by skytrain, please take the first escalator down and walk straight to the left where you'll find spacious lobby and see EH98 entrance. Note that EH98 has two entrances but Registration Counter is located at the main entrance close to skywalk bridge access. You may refer to ‘Important Schedule' and map at ‘Getting to Venue' under “Participants” section on event's web for direction to EH98 and location of Registration.

Your first stop upon arrival at BITEC is Registration point where you'll collect your kits which include badge that allows you access into the hall for set-up. Please refer to ‘Important Schedule' under “Participants” section on event's web for set-up schedule. Note that without badges, you'll not be allowed entry into the hall.

Food and beverage is solely managed by BITEC and no bringing in of outside food & beverage is allowed. Nevertheless, there are plenty choices of low-cost food & beverage available at the food court located on the 3rd floor of BITEC or convenience stores (Lawson 108 and 7 Eleven) available at the basement of BITEC.

Opening hours for participants on competition days are 13-16 July from 08.00 to 20.00hrs. Opening hours for visitors from business and public are 13-16 July from 09.00 to 20.00hrs.

Electricity in Thailand is AC is 220 volt (50 cycles). Foreign visitors are advised to bring along travel adaptors to fit the outlets in the country.

Electrical sockets in Thailand are compatible with both flat parallel prongs (like in the United States and Japan) and two round pins (like in most European and Asian countries). While two-pin sockets are common in Thailand, some establishments like hotels and offices also have three-pin outlets installed.
